We've had our WAG pontoon boat dog ladder for almost six years. It's well-designed, sturdy, and holds up fine for our 80 lb dog. Tech support has been great, and over the years we've needed a couple of parts that were caused by human error (mine), but were shipped on time and correct. This has worked out really great. Highly recommend it.

I was looking for a dog ramp for multiple boat options for hunting my dog and this ramp has been nothing but amazing. It’s super light and folds up nice for storage and very stable. It is super simple to use and help my dog train to use it. We both love it!

A great product, but the first time down, my dogs claw got stuck in one of the small holes on the step and he was hanging over the side until I grabbed him by his vest and pulled him back onto the dock. As soon as I cover the holes with something it will be perfect. Light weight and sturdy!

We finally found something that we could hook up to our dock so that our dog has easy in and out access. We are on the bay so we needed something that was long enough that works with the tide. He’s still learning how to use it, but I’m sure with a few more uses he’ll be a pro.

We bought this ladder from someone who purchased and never used. We fell in love with it! Had 3 dogs, 55, 75 (now 100) and 85 lbs. They could all walk up and down this ladder, we did not have to lift them! One, very sad, day, the ladder sunk. I purchased a new one, because we can not live without it now! The new one has Styrofoam in it (as this has apparently happened before) so now it won't sink. BEST LADDER for my pontoon boat EVER!

Our two weimaraners, 65 and 75 pounds, were trained on an inflatable pup plank. But, that no longer worked when we got a boat with a higher swim platform. We tried several alternatives that were either cumbersome or ineffective. Then we discovered the Waterdog product, four bolts later had it installed. Our 6 yo figured it out instantly. Our klutzy puppy is still learning to swim and only figured out the house stairs a few months ago. Even he had it dialed in during our first outing. The quality impresses. My only addition will be key chain floats on the two Detent Ring Pins.

Please note these dogs have extensive formal water training. We support use of canine floatation ( doggie life vest). Thank you so much for this ladder! This is our 4 th year of use!

This dog ramp is amazing. Our dog loves the water, he can now easily climb out without any assistance from us. The ladder is also very easy to put in and take out of the water. This product is genius! Highly recommend.

Its decent, the attaching to boat could be better. Takes time to under bolts to put on and off of the boat. For hunting, would be nice if it could fold or collapse better.
Dog really does not understand how to use the ladder, so there will be a lot of training.

It's works good but I didn't think that you needed to drill holes into the deck. I also thought it came with the carry bag.

After years of "dragging" my lab into the boat on other solutions, getting soaked in the process, the pup figured the ladder out after two retrieves with no pre-training, and I didn't have to help him into the boat once. I also used the ladder twice (205 LBS) to get into the boat in waders. I don't normally do reviews, but it was such a different experience than the last 20 years. Looking forward to trying it on a canoe this weekend!

I bought the ladder for my dock so my three large (100 lb) dogs could easily get out of the water. I have had it for 1 month so far, and it works great! Even when they climb over each other at the same time. I also love the way it folds up when not in use. It could be slightly wider, but otherwise, I like it a lot! Perhaps you could make a slightly bigger/strudier version for big dogs?

The grated design is not ideal for dogs with long claws.
Our dog’s claw got stuck in one of the holes upon descending down the steps during play—causing a trip to the ER to get claw removed. Terrible design.

For the price i was hoping this ladder would be built more sturdy its a bit flimsy. The directions was awful but with an email they did help.
If you have 27' pontoons it doesnt fit quite right because the holes provided you need if you use those holes you cannot use the lock pins
I did manage to use one lower hole but it leaves the ladder higher up which makes it not as sturdy and the ladder steeper.
My dog kip is 90.00 lbs.
I also had to replace all harware because they use nylon locking nuts so if you have to keep adjusting ladder they eventually lock in place and damage the aluminum track . I had to take whole thing apart , slide out of track and break the nuts off with force. Then going to hardware store to replace broken hardware. Also why they wouldnt provide something like a rope to pick up ladder i dont know. You have to lean way down to pick ladder out of water. I was hoping for much better for a ladder this expensive.

Easy;to install and golden got used to it pretty quickly with a little coaching/treats

This is a great product. Well built and long lasting. I have used it for over two years. It took my dog a little time to get use to it but then she loved it. Saved me from taking a bulky tree climber and looking for a tree to put it on. Fits great on my Xpress boat.

We have been using our board dog ladder for three years off our pontoon boat, our two labs love it. Highly recommended Well built, no issues
